A los efectos de dicha Directiva se entiende por\u00a0<b>equipo de protecci\u00f3n individual<\/b>\u00a0(EPI) cualquier equipo destinado a ser llevado o sujetado por el trabajador o trabajadora para que le proteja de uno o varios riesgos que puedan amenazar su\u00a0<a title=\"Seguridad\" href=\"https:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Seguridad\">seguridad<\/a>\u00a0o su\u00a0<a title=\"Salud\" href=\"https:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Salud\">salud<\/a>\u00a0en el trabajo, as\u00ed como cualquier complemento o accesorio destinado a tal fin.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"firstHeading\" class=\"firstHeading\" lang=\"es\">Equipo de protecci\u00f3n individual<\/h2>\n<p>Mientras que el\u00a0<a class=\"external text\" href=\"http:\/\/previpedia.es\/Real_Decreto_773\/1997,_de_30_de_mayo,_sobre_disposiciones_m%C3%ADnimas_de_seguridad_y_salud_relativas_a_la_utilizaci%C3%B3n_por_los_trabajadores_de_equipos_de_protecci%C3%B3n_individual\" rel=\"nofollow\">Real Decreto 773\/1997, de 30 de mayo, sobre disposiciones m\u00ednimas de seguridad y salud relativas a la utilizaci\u00f3n por los trabajadores de equipos de protecci\u00f3n individual<\/a>, define un\u00a0<b>equipo de protecci\u00f3n individual<\/b>\u00a0como\u00a0<i>\u00abcualquier equipo destinado a ser llevado o sujetado por el trabajador para que le proteja de uno o varios riesgos que puedan amenazar su seguridad o su salud, as\u00ed como cualquier complemento o accesorio destinado a tal fin\u00bb<\/i>, excluyendo los siguientes equipos:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>la ropa de trabajo y uniformes que no est\u00e9n espec\u00edficamente destinados a proteger la seguridad o salud.<\/li>\n<li>los de los servicios de socorro y salvamento.<\/li>\n<li>los de los militares, polic\u00edas y servicios de mantenimiento del orden.<\/li>\n<li>los de los medios de transporte por carretera.<\/li>\n<li>el material de deporte.<\/li>\n<li>el material de autodefensa o disuasi\u00f3n.<\/li>\n<li>los aparatos port\u00e1tiles para la detecci\u00f3n y se\u00f1alizaci\u00f3n de los riesgos y de los factores de molestia.<sup id=\"cite_ref-2\" class=\"reference separada\"><a href=\"https:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Equipo_de_protecci%C3%B3n_individual#cite_note-2\">2<\/a><\/sup>\u200b<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Aparte de la protecci\u00f3n individual hay otra llamada protecci\u00f3n colectiva, que son medidas que tratan de proteger a los trabajadores en su conjunto y a sus instalaciones.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00bfEPIS?
